Freiburg got the better of local rivals SC Karlsruhe in the second friendly of the winter break. Michael Gregoritsch, Kevin Schade and Lucas Höler got on the scoresheet as Streich’s side edged a tight game to win 3-2.

SC and FC Luzern shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. The Swiss team took the lead through, before Lucas Höler and Maximilian Breunig drew Freiburg level.

The overall schedule for the 2023/24 season has been announced, with the Bundesliga season opener set to take place on 18th August 2023. The final matchday of the season will take place in mid-May.
