Oliver Leki, SC Freiburg’s board member for finance, organisation and marketing, stated: “We’ve had an exceptionally successful financial year. Reaching the Europa League round of 16 again, along with the associated revenue, and substantial income from transfers contributed significantly. On top of that, we had a sold-out Europa-Park Stadion for every competitive match, along with further revenue increases in sponsorship, hospitality and merchandising. Our overall development demonstrates that a club can achieve both sporting and financial success with a clear strategy and consistent action. We are committed to continuing along this ambitious path.”
