SCF fell to defeat in the first game (1-2), but came away victorious in the second (2-1). What followed was an unforgettable season, which ended in European qualification.
Saturday’s friendly at the Colmar Stadium will comprise of three 45 minute halves (16:00 CEST). Tickets for the game are available online or at the box office from midday on Saturday. Fans who cannot attend can follow the match via a livestream on the homepage or on the app.
It will be a tough test for Streich’s side on Saturday, as RC Strasbourg finished sixth in Ligue 1 last term, narrowly missing out on the European places. It will be ideal preparation for the DFB-Pokal match against Kaiserslautern eight days later.
Kévin Gameiro is Strasbourg’s stand-out name. The 35-year-old, who started his career with Strasbourg back in 2005, has played for the likes of PSG, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.
