Christian Streich, Patrick Baier, Florian Bruns and Julian Schuster have all extended their contracts with SC.
Christian Streich has been head coach of the first team since December 2011. He broke the record for most Bundesliga games in charge of SC in January this year. Overall, the 57-year-old has taken charge of 430 matches in all competitions.
Patrick Baier has been part of the coaching team since 2009 and is the longest-serving assistant coach in the Bundesliga.
Former SC players Florian Bruns and Julian Schuster have been part of the coaching team since 2017 and 2018 respectively. Bruns is an assistant coach and Schuster is also an assistant, but mainly responsible for cooperation between the first team and the club’s academy.
Assistant coach Lars Voßler, goalkeeping coach Michael Müller and fitness coaches Daniel Wolf and Maximilian Kessler are all still under contract.
“We’re delighted that we will continue working with our current coaching team,” said sporting director Jochen Saier. “Christian Streich and his colleagues work extremely hard every day and give their best to ensure our team is developing. We’re continuing to do things our way and this successful and valued partnership will go into next season now as well.”
Christian Steich commented: “It’s nice that we still enjoy coming into the office every day and have an open and honest relationship. Life here is really special and I’m pleased that I will be able to carry on working for this club together with my fellow coaches.”
