SCF can confirm the loan move of Robert Wagner to SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The 19-year-old will play for the club, who are currently in the second division, in the coming season.
Robert Wagner played at SC Lahr in his youth and in the Freiburg academy. He secured promotion to the third division with the U23s in 2021 and made his debut in the Bundesliga in 2022. The midfielder has since made 48 appearances in the third division, with the U20 international player also appearing four times in the Bundesliga and once in the Europa League.
“Robert is a big talent in his age group due to both his quality and his mentality,” said sporting director Klemens Hartenbach. “Robert has been able to get lots of game time in our second team in the third division and will now continue to develop in Fürth.”
Both parties agreed not to disclose the details of the contract.
