SC Freiburg have confirmed Keven Schlotterbeck’s loan move to VfL Bochum. The 26-year-old was previously on loan at Bochum during the second half of last season.
Keven Schlotterbeck has made 13 Bundesliga appearances for VfL Bochum since January and scored two goals during that period. His goal in added time against Hertha BSC on the final matchday last season was an important factor in maintaining Bochum’s top flight status. The centre-back, who made his professional debut for Freiburg in 2019, has played 83 Bundesliga games to date.
“Keven is a good guy who gave his all during preseason. Since the likelihood of regular game time here hasn’t changed, we wanted to give Keven this opportunity,” says chairman Jochen Saier. “With his loan move to Bochum, Keven is returning to a familiar environment and won’t need any time to get up to speed. We wish him as much success as possible and hope he has a great time working at Castroper Straße.”
