Manuel Gulde signs contract extension
SC Freiburg and Manuel Gulde have agreed the terms of a contract extension for the defender.
Manuel Gulde has been an SC Freiburg player since 2016. Out of the players who didn’t come through the club’s academy, only Lukas Kübler has been at SCF longer than the defender. The 32-year-old has made 164 appearances for Freiburg, scoring seven goals. The centre-back has played 17 games for the club so far this season.
“Manuel is a constant in our team and has demonstrated that he’s dependable, not least in the last few games,” said chief sporting officer Jochen Saier. “The fact that he’s been at the club for so long shows that there’s a mutual appreciation and we’re happy that a quality player like Manuel has decided to stay with us.”
Manuel Grude stated, “In my eight years at Freiburg, I’ve noticed that here is the right place for me and that I can continue to help the team out. After spending such a long time at the club, we didn’t really need to discuss the mutual trust we have for each other off the pitch. That’s why I’m happy to have signed a contract extension. I’ll continue to give my all for the club.”
Both parties have agreed not to disclose the terms of the contract.
