Nine SC players represented their countries during the final international break ahead of this summer's UEFA EURO 2024.

With the EUROs set to get underway on 14th June in Munich when Germany face off against Scotland, several of the countries to have qualified used the March international break to prepare by playing friendlies. Michael Gregoritsch and Philipp Lienhart were included in Austria's squad to face Slovakia and Türkiye, while Roland Sallai and Attila Szalai were in action for Hungary against Kosovo. They came up against SC teammate and Kosovo international Florent Muslija in the process. Ritsu Doan was scheduled to play a World Cup qualifying double-header with Japan against North Korea, but the away leg was cancelled at short notice.

Qualifying for the U21 EUROs is also in full swing, with Noah Atubolu and Merlin Röhl in action with the Germany U21s as they faced Kosovo U21s in Chemnitz and Israel U21s in Halle. Kiliann Sildillia and the France U21s played two friendlies against Côte d'Ivoire U21s and the USA U21s.

The Freiburg players who were not on international duty played a friendly match against FC St. Gallen to stay in a rhythm. SCF ran out as 4-1 winners against the Swiss side on Thursday thanks to goals from Maximilian Breunig and Ryan Johansson, as well as a Junior Adamu brace.
