SC Freiburg’s attacker Noah Weißhaupt has extended his contract at the club.
Noah Weißhaupt joined the Freiburg academy aged 10 from SV Ebnet and went on to play for all of SC’s youth sides. He moved up to the U23s for the 2020/21 season and was part of the team that won promotion to the 3. Liga. He has played 43 times for the reserves to date, scoring eight goals. The 21-year-old attacker made his professional debut in autumn 2021 and has since appeared in 40 games across the Bundesliga, the Europa League and the DFB-Pokal. Weißhaupt also plays for Germany U21s.
“Noah has become a permanent fixture in our squad over the past two years. He impressed in particular at the end of last season with his intelligence, versatility and technical skills,” said Jochen Saier. “We now want him to work hard and build on these performances. We are delighted to have another player in our team who came through our academy in Noah.”
Noah Weißhaupt commented: “SC is my club and I want to establish myself in the Bundesliga here. I can feel the club’s support and faith. I want to build on this and push for more appearances.”
The contract details will remain undisclosed.
