Training will begin on 7th July, whilst the season opener will take place on 10th August. Everything planned for the time in between is included in the 2024/25 summer plan.
SC’s players – excluding those who are set to feature in the European Championships – have departed for their summer break following a long season with 46 competitive games.
The team will meet up again on 7th July to begin training ahead of the 2024/25 season. As opposed to previous years, the first training session will take place on a Sunday at the Europa-Park Stadion. In this way, as many SC fans as possible will be able to be present for the start of the new season.
The training camp in Schruns is set to take place from 17th to 26th July. SCF will face off against SC Altach in a friendly on 19th July during the training camp. This game will be Altach’s final friendly ahead of their first competitive fixture.
SC Freiburg will take part in another friendly to conclude the training camp on 26th July. A venue and opponent are yet to be confirmed, whilst one further pre-season game is also in the works. The plan for the first game of the season at the Europa-Park Stadion is already in place – the team and the fans will kick-off the 2024/25 season on Saturday 10th August, whilst the first round of the DFB-Pokal will take place a week later.
