Eleven SC players prepare for international duty

Five SC players are set to feature in the Nations League, including Philipp Lienhart, Michael Gregoritsch and Junior Adamu, who have two home games coming up with the Austria national team against Kazakhstan and Norway. The Austrians sit third in their group on one point. Eren Dinkci has once again been called up to the Türkiye national squad and now hopes to make his first appearance in his national colours during the fixtures against Montenegro and Iceland. Florent Muslija will also take part in the Nations League with Kosovo and will face Cyprus and Lithuania.

Japan have nominated Ritsu Doan again for their national squad ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifying fixtures against Saudi Arabia and Australia. Japan are currently top of Group C on six points, having scored 12 goals and conceded none. Max Rosenfelder, Noah Atubolu and Kiliann Sildillia are preparing for their World Cup qualifiers with the Germany and France U21 national teams. Rosenfelder and Atubolu will play against Bulgaria and Poland for Germany, who top Group D at the moment, while Sildillia takes on Cyprus and Austria with France. The Switzerland U20 team has once again called up Bruno Ogbus and Johan Manzambi for their upcoming internationals against Ghana and Romania.

The SC players remaining in Freiburg will utilise the opportunity that the international break offers to play a friendly match against 1. FC Kaiserslautern, which will take place behind closed doors on Friday.
