Florian Bruns featured for SC Freiburg as a player between 1999 and 2002 before he made a return to the club as an assistant coach in the summer of 2017 from SV Werder Bremen.

“The club’s relationship with Florian Bruns is a great one, built on the foundation of belief and confidence in one another. Therefore, we are delighted that Flo will remain part of our coaching staff,” explained CEO Jochen Saier. “Our successful transition during the summer was a collective effort and one achieved due to the great deal of effort put in by everyone, as well the quality possessed and teamwork on show.
