The DFL announced the dates and times for the first five matchdays of the new season on Thursday. SC will begin the campaign at home against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday, 24th August.
Last season’s runners-up will be in town for a 15:30 CEST kick off. Freiburg’s first away trip of the season away at FC Bayern will be on a Sunday night in Munich at 17:30 CEST on 1st September. The first international break of the season is directly after the first two matchdays.
Julian Schuster’s team will play on a Saturday afternoon across the following three matchdays – at home to Bochum, away to Heidenheim and at home to St. Pauli.
