SC Freiburg beat Karlsruher SC 2-1 in a friendly during the international break. Nishan Burkart and Lukas Kübler put Freiburg ahead at the break, as Dominick Kother got one back for KSC in the second half.

SCF lost for the first time this season on Bundesliga matchday 11. Janik Haberer’s late goal (90’+2) proved not enough to take anything from the game. Leon Goretzka (30’) and Robert Lewandowski (75’) scored for Bayern.

The DFL (Deutsche Fußball Liga) announced the timings for Bundesliga matchdays 14-21 on Thursday afternoon. 

SC Freiburg are still unbeaten in the Bundesliga after the first 10 matchdays following the 3-1 home win over SpVgg Greuther Fürth. Ahead of the next game away to record champions FC Bayern (Saturday at 15:30 CET), Freiburg midfielder and goalscorer against Fürth, Nicolas “Chicco” Höfler, spoke to us.

SC Freiburg will use the upcoming international break to play a friendly against Karlsruher SC. The game will take place on Thursday November 11th, with kickoff at 13:00 CET.

SC Freiburg will play TSG Hoffenheim in the next round of the DFB-Pokal. The last-16 tie will be played on 18th or 19th January 2022.

SC Freiburg won their second home game at the Europa-Park Stadion, defeating Greuther Fürth 3-1. SC took the lead through a Fürth own goal (20’) before Nicolas Höfler doubled our lead in the 39th minute. After the break, Fürth got one back through Jamie Lewling (74’) before Vicenzo Grifo put the game to bed (79’).

SC Freiburg prepare for their third game in seven days as SpVgg Greuther Fürth visit on Saturday at 15:30.

SC Freiburg reached the round of 16 in the DFB-Pokal by winning 3-2 on penalties (2-2 a.e.t.) away to VfL Osnabrück on Tuesday night. Goalkeeper Benjamin Uphoff was the hero on the night, saving three penalties in the shootout.
