SC would secure their place in second of Europa League Group A with a draw against Olympiacos on Thursday. 

SC played out a 1-1 draw with SV Darmstadt 98 on Bundesliga matchday 12, the first of three matches in eight days for Christian Streich’s side. Darmstadt took the lead through Mathias Honsak (18‘) before Lucas Höler’s equaliser (35’). 

SC are set to face SV Darmstadt 98 at home in the Bundesliga following the international break. The game against the newly-promoted side at a sold-out Europa-Park Stadion will kick-off on Saturday at 15:30 CET.

The last international break of the year has come to an end. It was a particularly successful time away for Philipp Lienhart, Ritsu Doan and Merlin Röhl. All three were on the scoresheet for their respective national teams.

SCF were defeated 3-1 by RB Leipzig despite a good performance: Merlin Röhl scored Freiburg’s only goal after going on a spectacular solo run (45+6’).

After playing each of their last three games at home, SC Freiburg travel to RB Leipzig to close out Bundesliga matchday 11 on Sunday night (19:30 CET).

SC Freiburg won 5-0 against TSC Backa Topola on matchday 4 of the UEFA Europa League. The goals came courtesy of five different scorers, one of which being Maximilian Eggestein, who also registered two assists.

The German Football League (DFL) has announced the schedule for Matchdays 14 to 18. SCF will play on a Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday once more this year and twice at home on Saturday afternoon in the new year.

TSC Backa Topola are in town for matchday 4 of the Europa League group stage on Thursday night (21:00 CET). SC have the chance to secure a place in European competition after the winter break.

SC recovered from 3-1 down to earn a 3-3 draw at home against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Lucas Höler, Noah Weißhaupt and Vincenzo Grifo were all on the scoresheet for Freiburg.
