A total of 10 SC Freiburg players will be away representing Austria, Hungary, Kosovo, Japan, Turkey, the Germany U21s and the France U21s and U20s during the upcoming international break in September.
The dates and timings for matchdays 6 to 12 have today been confirmed by the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL). SC Freiburg will play five times on Saturday afternoon (15:30 CEST/CET), in addition to playing away at Union Berlin on a Friday night and at home against Mainz on a Sunday afternoon.
The DFB has announced the schedule for the DFB-Pokal’s second-round of fixtures. SC Freiburg will take on second-division Hamburger SV on early Wednesday evening at the Europa-Park Stadion.
SC have taken the opportunity that the international break poses to schedule a friendly match against FC Basel for Friday, to be played behind closed doors (kick-off 12:00 CEST).
SC Freiburg will travel to Munich to face off against record champions FC Bayern in their first away match of the 2024/25 season on Sunday (17:30 CEST).
SC recovered from falling behind early on to beat VfB Stuttgart 3-1. Lukas Kübler scored twice for Freiburg (26’, 61’), while Ritsu Doan also netted (54’).
