Junior Adamu is set for his second season with SC Freiburg. After a difficult first year, the 23-year-old Austrian spoke about his nation’s performance at EURO 2024, a ‘fresh start’ at SC and how much enjoyment he gets when he sees a football.

SC Freiburg played out a 1-1 draw with Austrian Bundesliga outfit SCR Altach. Junior Adamu put Freiburg ahead in the 83rd minute in front of 1,800 fans at the Cashpoint Arena, before the hosts responded immediately with an equaliser.

The DFL announced the dates and times for the first five matchdays of the new season on Thursday. SC will begin the campaign at home against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday, 24th August.

The team have arrived in Schruns for pre-season, kicking off their 18th summer training camp in the Austrian municipality.
