Midfielder Noah Weißhaupt has extended his contract at SC Freiburg and will be included in the first-team squad for the 2021/22 season.
Weißhaupt joined the Freiburg Football School at the age of 11 and was promoted to the 3. Liga with the U23s last season. The 19-year-old scored five goals and assisted a further eleven in 31 appearances during the campaign. The midfielder has is also a current Germany U20s international.
“Noah is on a good path and has continuously developed throughout the season. He has found a good balance between his strong play on the ball and working hard to win it back out of possession,” said Jochen Saier. “We’re very excited to be meeting future challenges together with Noah, who has been at the club since U12 level.”
“Freiburg is my club and this contract extension means a lot to me. After a successful season with the U23s, I’m now ready to give everything I’ve got with the first-team squad,” said Noah Weißhaupt.
Both parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the contract.
