SCF have agreed a contract extension with Kevin Schade

SC Freiburg lost 2-0 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt. Jesper Lindstrøm and Filip Kostic scored for the guests, as Freiburg suffered their first home defeat of the season.

This Sunday, SC Freiburg will take on SG Eintracht Frankfurt at the Europa-Park Stadion (15:30 CET).

Ahead of Sunday’s home fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt, we spoke French centre-back Kiliann Sildillia (19), who gave his first interview in German.

The final international break of 2021 is upon us. Before the upcoming home game against Eintracht Frankfurt on the 21st, 13 SC Freiburg players have been selected to represent their respective national teams in Europe and Asia. Mark Flekken's Netherlands sealed qualification to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, whilst Wooyeong Jeong scored his first goal for South Korea. 

SC Freiburg beat Karlsruher SC 2-1 in a friendly during the international break. Nishan Burkart and Lukas Kübler put Freiburg ahead at the break, as Dominick Kother got one back for KSC in the second half.

SCF lost for the first time this season on Bundesliga matchday 11. Janik Haberer’s late goal (90’+2) proved not enough to take anything from the game. Leon Goretzka (30’) and Robert Lewandowski (75’) scored for Bayern.

SC Freiburg will travel to face the record champions from Munich on Saturday (15:30 CET), in their final league match ahead of the upcoming international break.

The DFL (Deutsche Fußball Liga) announced the timings for Bundesliga matchdays 14-21 on Thursday afternoon. 

SC Freiburg are still unbeaten in the Bundesliga after the first 10 matchdays following the 3-1 home win over SpVgg Greuther Fürth. Ahead of the next game away to record champions FC Bayern (Saturday at 15:30 CET), Freiburg midfielder and goalscorer against Fürth, Nicolas “Chicco” Höfler, spoke to us.
